Hello there,
as you may already know (of course you do, I literally ‘photobombed’ you on Instagram), I was traveling with my friends at the beginning of May. First we went to Venice & the next stop was Canary Islands. I was thinking to ask my friend, who is a photographer, to give me some perfect quality photos to show you guys but at the end I decided to show you my own. The quality might not be the best, but damn sure they represent my perception of that beauty, miss Venice itself. I fell in love with Venice because of the movie, Dangerous Beauty, which is one of my favourites. Besides the “storyline”, I always enjoyed how they represented Venice and analyzed every little detail of the scenes. So when we arrived, we immediately went to discover that little diamond. We were hiking all day, visited quite a few places and then got lost at the end. The locals were showing us around but it still took us quite a few hours to get back to our little hotel (and by little I mean little. Some buildings in the centre are literally as narrow as miss Twiggy:). But oh, so cozy and full of soul. And it blows my mind how they make them look so spacious!). Their instructions were: “You go left, then you go right, and then…dot dot dot”. And they smiled. Because they knew we were going to get lost for sure. And I realized, that’s the beauty of Venice. It is okay to enjoy the view on Piazza San Marco and eat some spaghetti in day time, but due to getting lost, we also experienced it at night: running from square to square, getting lost, crossing bridges, smiling, panicking and then getting it right at the end. You know, just like in real life.
Venice, see you soon.
And I’ll see YOU soon in my next ‘Travel Diaries’.
